	2009.07.09  00.55 Off Home, with Recs Latenight good-bye post, well, at least for a bit... am flying home to Germany tomorrow for not quite three weeks (where I'm so looking forward to seeing karaontai, who'll be over with her spawn :). Then back with my mum for another couple of days in E-town and the Islands. Yay! *prays for semidecent weather* I'm also curious about how I'll get along with sparkly new, yet to prove trustiness netbook, on which I'm typing this entry, and which will accompany me. Keyboard and screen size still take a wee bit of getting used to, but actually it works pretty well. So I won't be altogether cut off from the net, praise be to the net goddess! Addicted? Moi? Neverever! ;) Do have two good-bye-recs while I'm at it: Obsidian, Smoothed into Knots by anonymous [Lucius/Albus Severus, hints of Draco/Albus Severus, NC-17] Summary: "It's a mission, Dad!" said Al. Utterly seductive non-con with a beautiful Albus, and old school Lucius in the best of possible ways - smooth, predatory, absolutely in control, and a right vicious manipulative bastard! Yum! Kinky, With a Bit of Discipline by snegurochka_lee [Snape/Black, NC-17] Summary: Gleaming silver slithers out from the cold walls and snakes around Black's wrists, leaving him with only a few inches of chain to tug with. He makes good use of the slack, arching his back and straining, chest open and sinewy arms stretched taut. The scene shifts, the lens widens, and Severus Snape steps into frame. "Please, Black. You don't really mean to struggle so, do you?" Snape/Black with all the trimmings (i.e. snarling, posturing, reluctant attraction, hotness), and a delicious twist too. I don't think I had this much giggly fun reading this pairing since amanuensis1's Blood for a Parched Tongue :). Mood: sleepy

	2009.07.01  23.44 Fests, Sun and Robin Hood OMG, ownficfest is bagged, at least the setting up and all! Now, it just needs to be written and posted :). Sorting out assignments worked suprisingly well, even though my inner perfectionist wailed at the impossibility of giving everybody their top preference ;). Note to self: now shut up and write! I had the morning off, thanks to the Queen, and spent it happily browsing used book stores in town and even treating myself to a coffee and seed bun (which I rarely do when on my own). It was so bloody hot and humid that I came back with a mildly tanned cleavage ;). Spent last weekend obsessively watching BBC Robin Hood - unlike with Merlin, where they just threw mythology out of the window altogether and ended up with something like 'Hercules' in the process, this feels very much like a spoof of every Robin Hood film version that's ever existed :). Very close to to parody, with some political meta-commentary. It makes the ahistorical element much easier to stomach. Don't get me wrong, it's way from holding a candle to Robin of Sherwood, but it's enjoyable. Also, Robin and the Sheriff in bed together is *canon*! And Gisbourne is so totally hot :). Now, where's the slash? Oh, and ignore the silly critter at the bottom :) Mood: cheerful

	2009.06.13  03.59 Digging up plots, and Fantasy Writer Quiz Phew, just submitted my own plot prompts for ownficfest... I didn't know I had so *many* unfinished HP pieces and persistent ideas floating around. Even after eliminating the stuff that would run into multichapters, I had twice the required number left :). Also, here's the "Which Fantasy Writer Would You Be" quiz, which is great fun, even though it made me groan at the result (filched from samena): ( Fantasy Writer Quiz ) No, seriously, I tried hard to like Philip Pullman, because I'm so impressed by his ideas, but I find the Dark Materials boring as heck... Tried them in German, then in English, but still don't like them :(.
